The Call to Abide

In 1 John 2:12–28, John calls believers to abide in Christ, remaining rooted in His love, His Word, and the truth of what He has accomplished. Though the desires of the world compete for our hearts, they are temporary and cannot satisfy like knowing God and doing His will. Through the Holy Spirit, we are equipped to recognize deception, remain grounded in truth, and continue growing in faith. Whether we are new to following Jesus or have walked with Him for many years, the invitation remains the same: stay connected to Christ, trust what He has accomplished, and allow His love and truth to shape our lives through every season.
