Grief Share – Meets as a group of adults mourning the death of a loved one. They meet seasonally on Sunday mornings, during third service (11:00a – 12:30p) in room A202 on LSC campus. It is a 13-week Christian based program that includes three parts: a video seminar, a discussion, and a personal workbook for individual study and application of concepts. Ryan is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Mental Health Center of America, a multidisciplinary, outpatient mental health treatment center in Phoenix, Arizona. Ryan graduated from the Clinical Psychology Program at Midwestern University and completed his psychology doctoral internship at Southwest Behavioral & Health Services. Dr. House developed a program for emerging adult populations seeking treatment for substance use and he conducted research regarding attitudes toward prescribing psychology. He received his undergraduate degree in psychology and business from Pepperdine University.

Sarah Hubbell, MAS-MFT, LAMFT
Sarah is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, specializing in premarital therapy as well as couples therapy, focusing on issues of intimacy, communication, and infidelity. Sarah also works with individuals experiencing anxiety or processing through life transitions. Her educational background includes a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Arizona State University, as well as post-graduate training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy with a faith sensitive focus.

Karen has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Phoenix, Arizona for 28 years. Karen works with teenagers, men & women, couples, and groups, addressing the issues of abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and intimacy. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the healing of traumatic experiences. Karen offers a blend of Counseling, Therapy, and Soul Care, which are all personal, relational, and collaborative. Counseling is the practical piece, applying insight and wisdom to problems. C.J. is a member of Living Streams Church with 20+ years’ experience of pastoral ministry. He is a compassionate, client-centered therapist with a focus on trauma and attachment. He is specifically trained in EMDR and Gottman therapy. He operates from an Existential lens and utilizes Internal Family Systems principles to do deep, psychodynamic work with his clients. Rate: $120/session, with both in person and telehealth options. He does not take insurance and currently only accepts private pay.

Scottsdale Bible Church Counseling
SBC offers up to 10 Christian lay counseling sessions for free to anyone in need, whether an attendee of the church or not. They also offer one-on-one Stephen Ministry, which provides alongside care, counsel, prayer, and support during crisis, as long as needed. They also have a 6-month program for lay counseling, for anyone looking to sharpen their basic counseling skills.
